Alarmly Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
Important: Please Read
By using Alarmly, you agree to these terms. Key points: use at your own risk, always set backup alarms for important events, and we're not liable for missed wake-ups.
Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Alarmly ("the App"), published by artifocial ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Alarmly is a smart alarm clock that provides morning briefings, voice commands, and a conversational assistant. Briefings are built from the alarms you have set for that day, read back to you. Alarmly has no calendar integration on any platform, so no entry from your device calendar is ever used. The iOS and Android apps show no weather at all in briefings; the Alarmly Web app shows one fixed sample weather line that is hardcoded in the page, not your weather. Live weather and calendar integration are not yet available. Briefing text and Assistant responses are generated locally using simple templating, not advanced AI. The App is currently offered free of charge.
User Responsibilities
Proper Use
You agree to use Alarmly:
- For its intended purpose
- In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Responsibly and with reasonable precautions
Backup Alarms
⚠️ CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITY
- DO NOT rely solely on Alarmly for critical wake-up needs
- Always set backup alarms for important events
- Test alarms before relying on them for important events
Disclaimer of Warranties
Alarmly is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. We do NOT warrant that alarms will always trigger at the scheduled time, or that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Missed alarms or wake-ups
- Consequences of missed alarms (late to work, missed flights, etc.)
- Lost opportunities or business losses
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Maximum Liability: Since Alarmly is currently free, our maximum liability is $0.00 (zero dollars).
Intellectual Property
Alarmly and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by artifocial and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Privacy
Your use of Alarmly is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Consent for "Mean Mode"
Alarmly offers an optional "Mean Mode" personality that uses firm, direct language. Before enabling Mean Mode, you must read the consent disclosure and explicitly agree to receive potentially harsh or firm language.
Termination
You may stop using Alarmly at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any features at any time.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
No governing law and no exclusive venue are stated here yet, and the blank is deliberate. A choice-of-law and forum clause names the home jurisdiction of the party you are contracting with, and that party is currently an individual operator rather than a formed company — so there is no jurisdiction we can honestly name. We will state the governing law and venue here as soon as formation completes.
In the meantime: before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at info@artifocial.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory consumer protections or the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own country of residence where the law of that country gives you that right.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of Alarmly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Contact Information
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at: info@artifocial.com(subject: "Alarmly Terms of Service Inquiry"). Email is the contact route for Alarmly.
Who you are contracting with
Alarmly is published by artifocial, which is the trading name of the individual operator of this site rather than a registered company. No separate legal entity stands behind these Terms today, and that operator is your counterparty. There is no registered mailing address to give you yet, because there is no registered company to hold one — earlier versions of this page said one was available on request, which was not true. We will add the registered legal name, formation jurisdiction, mailing address, governing law, and venue here as soon as formation completes.
Summary
Bottom Line:Use Alarmly at your own risk. Always set backup alarms for important events. We're not liable for missed alarms or their consequences. Your data stays private (see Privacy Policy). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
