Alarmly Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 7, 2026
TL;DR: Your privacy matters to us.
All your data is stored locally on your device. Apart from feedback you choose to send, we don't collect, transmit, or store your personal information on external servers. No tracking, no analytics, no third-party sharing.
Introduction
Alarmly is published by Artifocial ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Alarmly collects, how we use it, how we store it, and your rights regarding your data. Alarmly is designed with privacy-first principles: all your data is stored locally on your device.
Information We Collect
Data You Provide
Alarmly stores the following information that you directly provide, entirely on your device:
- Alarm Data: Alarm times, labels, sounds, volume, and repeat schedules
- User Preferences: Personality mode (Nice, Mean, Adaptive), voice settings, and consent preferences
- Chat History: Messages you send to the Assistant, transcribed and answered locally
Data We Do NOT Collect
Alarmly does NOT collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Device identifiers for tracking purposes
- Contacts, photos, or financial information
How We Use Your Information
All data is used solelyto provide the app's core functionality — scheduling and triggering alarms, sending notifications, generating briefings, and powering the Assistant. All processing happens locally on your device. Voice input is transcribed and speech is synthesized using your device's built-in capabilities. Apart from feedback you choose to send (see "Voluntary Feedback" below), no data is sent to external servers for processing.
Voluntary Feedback
Alarmly includes an optional feedback form. If — and only if — you choose to send feedback, your feedback text and the personality mode you have selected are transmitted to Formspree, a third-party form processor, solely to deliver that message to us. No other data leaves your device, and sending feedback is entirely optional. If you never use the feedback form, nothing is ever transmitted off your device.
How We Store Your Information
Local Storage Only
All data is stored locally on your device using platform-specific storage:
- iOS: UserDefaults and local file system
- Android: SharedPreferences and local file system
- Web: Browser LocalStorage and IndexedDB
What this means:
- ✅ Apart from feedback you choose to send, your data never leaves your device
- ✅ We cannot access your data
- ✅ Your data is not backed up to our servers
- ✅ Your data is not shared with third parties, other than the feedback you voluntarily submit
Permissions We Request
- Notifications (required): to trigger alarms and wake you up. We do not read your other notifications.
- Microphone (optional): to enable voice input when you press the microphone button. Voice is transcribed locally; audio is not recorded in the background or stored.
You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Alarmly does NOTsell your data or provide it to advertising networks, data brokers, analytics services, or crash-reporting services. The only third party your data ever reaches is Formspree, and only when you voluntarily submit feedback: in that case your feedback text and selected personality mode are sent to Formspree solely to deliver your message to us (see "Voluntary Feedback" above).
Your Data Rights
All your data is stored locally on your device and can be viewed and edited within the app. To delete all data, simply uninstall the app — this permanently removes all Alarmly data from your device.
GDPR & CCPA Compliance
We comply with GDPR (European users) and CCPA (California users) regulations:
- ✅ Right to access: view all your data in the app
- ✅ Right to rectification: edit your data in the app
- ✅ Right to erasure: delete data or uninstall the app
- ✅ Right to data portability: currently limited (local storage only)
- ✅ Right to object: you control all data collection through permissions
We do not sell your personal information.
Children's Privacy
Alarmly is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

Summary
Bottom Line:Alarmly is designed with privacy-first principles. Your data is yours and stays on your device. The only exception is feedback you choose to send, which is delivered to us through Formspree; nothing else is shared with anyone, and we can't access your on-device data even if we wanted to.
